LEWISTON – R. Louise Mockler, 72, of Davis Street, Lisbon Falls, died Saturday, Feb. 17, after a brief illness, with her family by her side.

She was born in Charlotte, N.C., on Nov. 17, 1934, a daughter of James and Frances (Cato) Allman. In 1950, she married William Wilson of North Carolina, who predeceased her. She later married David Mockler in 1960.

She was educated in Charlotte schools and later completed courses in certified nurse’s aide and medical technician. She worked at St. Casmere Nursing Home and for Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

Among her interests were gardening, traveling and going to yard sales. Her greatest pleasure in life was “family.” The time spent with her 31 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren were among some of her most treasured memories.

She is survived by her husband, David Mockler of Lisbon Falls; 10 children, William Wilson, and wife, Debra, of Lewiston, David Wilson of Portland, Pamela Smith, and husband, Aldred, of Bowdoin, Robert Wilson, and companion, Susan McCown, of Lisbon, Richard Mockler, and wife, Maria, of Lisbon, Davida Boudreau of Lisbon Falls, Phillip Mockler, and companion, Diana, of Wales, James Mockler, and companion, Lisa, of Bowdoin, Albert Mockler, and wife, Michelle, of Sabattus and Jonica Mockler of Topsham; a sister, Gayle Chase, and husband, Robert, of Turner; two brothers, Richard Allman, and companion, Lisa, of Sabattus and Roland Allman of North Caroline; and many nieces and nephews in both Maine and North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, James and Frances (Cato) Allman; two brothers, Jack Allman and Pete Allman; and a sister, Ann Fortier.

She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed with the opportunity to have met or known this loving, kind and caring woman.
