LEWISTON – Mary A. Samay-Houle, 43, of Cotton Road, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, Feb. 19.
She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 31, 1963, to Frank and Elizabeth (Hollis) Samay.
She graduated from Lewiston High School in the class of 1982. After high school, she attended USM and Northeastern University in Boston.
Mary married the love of her life, Marcel Houle, in April of 1999. Together they had two children, Renae and Nash.
She worked as the director of sales and marketing for her family owned business, Maine Auto Radiator.
She was a very loving mother and very involved in her childrens’ lives. She was a strong supporter of Trinity School.
She had a special love for animals, especially horses. She enjoyed skiing, boating, time with her family, friends and their German shepherd puppy, Schultz.
She was the light and life of any place she ventured. She always had the ability to see the positive effects of a negative situation.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to bring levity to any occasion. When she entered a room it was impossible not to feel her presence.
She leaves her husband, Marcel; their two children, Renae and Nash of Lewiston; her parents, Frank and Betty Samay of Lewiston; parents-in-law, Lucien and Mirielle Houle of Poland Spring; two sisters, Linda Samay-Colwell and husband, Barry, of San Diego, and Dee Dee Samay-Miller and husband, Donald, of Harpswell; a brother, Frank Samay and wife, Pam, of Turner; a brother in law, Daniel Houle and wife, Stephanie, of Poland Spring; a niece and nephews, Alec Colwell, Anthony and Ali Samay; her heart sister, Pat Bell and husband, Ray; and her aunt and uncle, Ramona and Ken Houser.
