Seeking volunteers

LEWISTON – The Central Maine Medical Center Volunteer Services Department is seeking volunteers to serve as front desk greeters and valet parking attendants.

CMMC offers valet parking to patients and visitors who cannot walk from the visitor-patient parking lots to the hospital’s main entrance at 60 High St.

“Volunteers are needed on both weekdays and weekends. All valet parking candidates must have a good driving record and be personable with the public,” said CMMC Volunteer Services Directory Susan Bowie. “Volunteers at CMMC contribute to the hospital’s high level of customer service and are an integral part of the healthcare team.”

Anyone interested in volunteering even a few hours as a greeter-valet parking volunteer, or perhaps in another volunteer service capacity, is asked to call Susan Bowie at 795-2472. A CMMC volunteer application can also be found at www.cmmc.org under Volunteer Services.

LITCHFIELD – The local Modern Woodmen of America Youth Service Club will host a pizza party with games from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Libbey-Tozier School Gym, 466 Academy Road.

The Litchfield club is one of nearly 700 clubs Modern Woodmen sponsors across the country to serve members and their families by supporting the character development of young people and by improving communities. Modern Woodmen youth clubs give children the chance to volunteer, gain patriotic pride, learn and have fun.
