Lenten series

PHILLIPS – The Listening Hearts Lenten series will be held at the Shadagee community room on Thursdays, March 1 to 29. A soup and bread supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. followed by a study series. Study materials will be provided.

Sessions will wrap up at 7 p.m. All are welcome. Pastor Susan Kaplan, Phillips Shared Ministry, will lead the discussion. For more information, call 491-5353.

Sunday services are held at 10 a.m. at the Congregational Church. Choir practices at 7 p.m. Thursdays. During March the choir will practice at Shadagee after the Listening Hearts Lenten series.

A mission offering for One Great Hour of Sharing will be received during March. Anyone who wants a coin box or envelope for their offering may call Pat Matulaitis, 639-3786. The offerings will be received during the March 18 service.

Lenten journey

FARMINGTON – The Lenten journey at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church will continue at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, when Pastor Susan Crane’s message will be “Faith on the Line.”

Celtic art topic

WILTON – Phil McIntyre will perform and speak about Celtic arts at a gathering of the Western Mountain Women’s Connection on Tuesday, March 6, at the Boiler Room. Guest speaker will be Ken Wagstaff from Stonecroft Village Missionary in Andover. Men are welcome to attend the meeting of the local chapter of Christian Women’s Club. Admission of $12 includes lunch. Reservations and cancellations are essential.
