OXFORD – Dorothy L. Jordan, 73, of Oxford, died Saturday morning, Feb. 24, at her home, following a long illness.

She was born in Mechanic Falls on Jan. 27, 1934, the daughter of William R. and Eva E. Magill Jordan Sr. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School.

She drove a school bus for 37 years, retiring in 1999 from SAD 17. Dorothy also worked as a substitute mail carrier and as a cook at Hebron Academy.

She was a member of Dwinal Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, in Mechanic Falls.

She enjoyed moose hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking meals for her friends.

She leaves behind her caretakers, Walter and Debra Dan and Shane Kimball, and many friends.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, William Russell Jordan Jr.
