SABATTUS – American Legion Post 135 held a spaghetti dinner on Jan. 24 as a thank-you to all members who donated their time during the past year for the organization.
Bob Laplante was in charge of organizing the dinner. Before the start of the meal, Post Commander Ed Nadeau presented a plaque to the Auxiliary, thanking members for their help in post activities.
He also unveiled the recently renovated serving counter and revealed the logo seal of the Auxiliary. The area was dedicated and named in honor of the Auxiliary.
Floyd Staples was posthumously named honorary past commander for the work that he had done in the past few years up to the time of his death in October.
He spearheaded many projects and went out 110 percent on everything he attempted. His photo and information plaque will hang at the post home.
