NORWAY – Stephens Memorial Hospital has announced the successful completion of the February Safe Sitter class, which finished up on Feb. 22 with 10 participants.

Safe Sitter (www.safesitter. org) is a medically accurate program that teaches ages 11 to 13 how to be safe, nurturing babysitters.

The goal of the program is to reduce the number of avoidable and unintentional deaths among children being cared for by babysitters.

Other classes for 2007 include April 17 and 19, June 19 and 21, July 17 and 19, Aug. 14 and 16 and Aug. 21 and 23. Those wishing to sign up for classes should call 743-1562, ext. 380.
