Day of prayer

MEXICO – World Day of Prayer will be observed at 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, at St. Theresa’s Church. Most area churches will participate. All are welcome. A donation for the women of Paraguay will be accepted. A lunch will be served following the service.

Bottle drive

PERU – The Peru Youth Group will hold a bottle drive from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, to raise funds for the Families in Crisis Food Pantry. Those wish to donate but won’t be home should leave a tag on the bag so that the youth will know its okay to take them.

Church supper

BETHEL – The Bethel United Methodist Church will hold a public supper starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the church. The menu will include baked beans, hot dishes, salads, dessert, rolls and beverage. Cost is adults, $6; under 12, $3.

Library supper

MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will host a spaghetti supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Calvin Lyons Hall, downstairs, in the Mexico Town Office building. Along with spaghetti, the meal will include salad, bread and dessert. Take-out orders will be available. Cost is adults, $6; children, $4.

During the supper, there will be a 50-50 raffle, and several gift baskets will be raffled. Storm date is Saturday, March 10. For more information, call 364-3281.
