LEWISTON – Jaime McLeod has been hired as copywriter for Crestline, Geiger Manufactured Products, and the Farmers’ Almanac.

As copywriter, McLeod will write marketing materials including catalog copy, Web content, press releases and other promotional pieces for the company.

McLeod comes to Geiger following a six-year career in news writing.

Her most recent position was as staff reporter for The Forecaster, a four-edition weekly newspaper based in Falmouth. Prior to that, McLeod worked as senior writer for the News Record Weekender, an arts and entertainment weekly published by the Greensburg, Pa.-based Tribune Review Co. In 2004, she received the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association’s first place Keystone Press Award for feature writing.

McLeod holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., and a master of arts in journalism from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born and raised in Level Green, Pa., and resides in Brunswick.
