RUMFORD – Pennacook Art Center will kick off its 2007 spring Artist’s Palette fundraiser Friday, March 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. On display at the gallery for March will be palette-shaped paintings of wildlife, landscapes, calligraphy and more.

The paintings were done by artists associated with the gallery and are for sale by auction to the highest bidder. Proceeds will go toward matching the remaining Maine Community Foundation grant money awarded to the gallery.

The auction will be a silent auction with all bids visible. Bids will be accepted starting Friday, March 2, and closing at 5 p.m. Friday, April 6.

Pennacook Art Center is open from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. It is at 82 Congress St. For more information, call 364-9972.
