PARIS – A Project Graduation meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Room E118, South Paris, for all seniors and their parents.
Woodlot workshop
PARIS – A six-week workshop for woodlot owners will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris.
Among topics will be tree ID, deeds and boundaries, timber harvesting, wildlife management, forestry taxes, forestry regulations and working with a consulting forester. There is a $20 charge.

Day of prayer
NORWAY – The Church Women United program for World Day of Prayer, “United under God’s Tent,” will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, at the St. Catherine Catholic Church. Refreshments will be served.
Program on loss
BETHEL – A “Community Program on Unexpected and Traumatic Loss” will be presented from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the West Parish Congregational Church, Garland Chapel, Church Street.
The program is being sponsored by Western Mountains Senior College, SAD 44 Community Education, Bethel Family Health Center, Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Wayne DuPlessis, counselor. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information, call 824-2053 or 824-8610.
Assertiveness
PARIS – Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community is offering a free assertiveness workshop from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, at the Western Maine University and Community College. Basket bingo
GREENWOOD – Friends of Telstar are sponsoring a Longaberger Basket Bingo to benefit all Telstar students/senior scholarships. It will be be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Locke Mills Legion Hall, Gore Road.

Store hours
OXFORD – The Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church Community Center’s store, located next to the church on Fore Street, has extended its hours. The store offers vegetarian foods and will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays.
Knitters to meet
PARIS – The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 6, at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., South Paris. The session will be a problem-solving knit-in. Anyone interested in knitting is welcome.
