LEWISTON – The Lewiston Boys 7th-8th-Grade Travel Team went unbeaten in capturing the post-season championship in the Central Maine Sunday Travel Basketball League at Messalonskee High School in Oakland.

Lewiston opened with a 40-36 win over Messalonskee as Mekae Hyde netted 11 points. Abdi Osmon and Jake Berube added 7 each.

In an overtime thriller, Lewiston nipped Gardiner as Hyde tallied 16, Osmon 14 and Jeff Keene 11.

In the third game, Lewiston rolled past Augusta 50-30 as Berube collected 7 and Alex Chicoine 5.

And in the championship contest, Keene and Osmon both registered 14 points as Lewiston beat Gardiner 58-39. Chicoine added 8 points.
