Northeast Professional Psychics, Mediums & Healers Guild has planned a daylong fair Saturday with yoga demonstrations, psychic readings and alternative healing methods.
It’s changed locations to the Unitarian Universalist Church at 169 Pleasant St. in Auburn after a fallout with a local Knights of Columbus Hall, where the last fair was held Feb. 10.
Guild founder Eddita Felt of Durham said she isn’t worried about a rumor of protest outside her event.
“It’s not helpful for me to put my energy there. What I’m focused on is having a positive experience or creating a positive experience for people who are curious or not quite sure,” she said.
The Holistic Fair will have at least 15 tables, with six people who do readings, an assortment of alternative practitioners – like someone who works with sound healing – and others who sell metaphysical supplies and tarot cards.
More than 50 people came to the last event. Yoga was a hit and will be back, she said, with a free demonstration and mini-lessons at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The guild hopes to open each fair up to one community group, offering a free table and a little exposure, but didn’t have one secured for this weekend as of Wednesday.
The next fair planned for the Twin Cities is April 21.
