HENRIETTA, N.Y. – Thomas Gilroy Jr., beloved husband of Betty L. Gilroy for 43 years, died Jan. 30 in Henrietta, N.Y.

He was born in Lewiston, July 3, 1924, and was the son of the late Thomas Gilroy Sr., and Anna (Bolduc) McBrine.

He resided in Lewiston, Buckfield, and Brockton, Mass.

He retired from the U.S. Navy, and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister, Peggy Bean, of Buckfield; stepchildren; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings, Dick McBrine, John Gilroy and Rita Danforth.
