FARMINGTON – Maternity leave, jury duty and family illness have caused a temporary staff shortage at the Farmington Town Office.
“The personnel crunch this week,” said Town Manager Richard Davis, “is only temporary and should be better by the first of the week. The town clerk, Leanne Pinkham, started a maternity leave last week while the motor vehicle clerk, Mavis Gensel, is out for jury duty and another staff member has been out for a family illness. I hope the public will bear with us and please be patient.”
February can be a busy month for car registrations and the end of the month creates a busier time, he said. The flow of things can be disrupted if people come in with a lot of business to do.
The staffing shortage started last week but should be better Friday and definitely by the first of the week, he said.
