SOUTH PARIS – Alma L. “Nana” Davis, 104, of Harrison, died Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Greenwood on Dec. 7, 1902, the daughter of Arthur F. and Ida V. Herrick Noyes. She graduated from Norway High School in 1920, and married Earl W. Davis on Oct. 7, 1923.
She was a homemaker who over the years had been employed at Norway National Bank, Harrison Insurance Co. and Harrison Water District. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Rebekahs, Creata Club and was a 40-year member of the Grange.
She is survived by a sister, Lillian Dow, of Lisbon; four grandsons, Thomas Davis of Acton, Keith Davis of Sylmar, Calif., Gordon Davis of Bridgton and Christopher Davis of Ocoee, Fla.; four granddaughters, Theresa Nowlin of Harrison, Karen Whittenton of Friendswood, Texas, Andrea Mattson of Harrison and Brenda Demers of Harrison; two daughters-in-law, Anne Davis and Mildred Davis, both of Harrison; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1970; and three sons, Arthur F. Davis, in 1979, Earl W. Davis Jr. in 1990 and John R. Davis in 1993.
