SUMNER – Gail Sargent, 57, died at her mother’s home on Feb. 26, after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer.
She was the wife of the late Ralph Sargent, beloved daughter of Janet Morrison, and the late Angus Morrison; cherished sister to Ainslee and Ciro Mitrano, Bonnie and Richard Vinci, and Scott Morrison.
She was originally from Everett, Mass., but had lived in Maine for almost 30 years. She loved music, a good cup of tea, reading and especially spending time with her family and friends.
She was a kind and forgiving person, always looking for the best in people and trying to help people however she could. She never complained, no matter how difficult the problem. She had a great fondness for animals, especially her cat “Shiloh.”
She was known as “Auntie Gail” to so many, and especially to Jimmy and Jason Saunders. A special mention to friends Cheryl and Thelma, whose kindness and love has been so appreciated.
She is survived by nephews, Michael, Adam and Nicholas; nieces, Shannon, Danielle, Meloni and Ashley; stepchildren, Dean and Cheri Sargent, and Heather and Lloyd Robinson; and also “Nana” to grandchildren, Gabrielle, Nicole, Trevor, Anna, Charlie and Owen.
