Portland – John “Jack” Cunningham, 66, of Lisbon Falls, passed away at Maine Medical Center,in Portland, on Feb. 28, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on January 7, 1941 in Portland, the son of Ernest and Margaret Barnes Cunningham. He married Donna Beal, on July 9, 1960 and they spent the next 46 years as one. He spent most of his life as a heavy equipment operator for Ray Labbe and Sons Construction.
He enjoyed many pastimes and enjoyments, some of which included fishing, hunting, using his CB radio, four wheeling, traveling with his wife Donna, and stock car racing where he would compete in the Mini Stocks, for which he always proudly displayed his 3rd place trophy. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his cat, Ash. He was a member of Lisbon Emergency, Lisbon Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the Topsham Trail Riders, Den Leader with the Boy Scouts, and was a softball coach for his daughter.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years; his children, Peg Robinson, of Phippsburg, John Jr., and his wife, Vicki, of Topsham, and Betty Cunningham, of Lewiston; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
