AUBURN – The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Hasty Community Center. The board of directors will meet at 10. A bag lunch will follow the meeting, and members are reminded to bring their cups. There will be the usual raffle table. Bingo will be played after lunch.

President Caroline Chapman conducted the session when the group met Feb. 28 with 70 members present. Celia Wyman was welcomed as a new member. Those having birthdays in February were recognized. Attendance prize winners were Nelson Edwards and Lucy Cowles; pot of gold, Sylvia Thibodeau, Doris Michael and Philip Cyr.

Valentine Queen Maxine Sidelinger and Valentine King Robert Adkins were crowned by former Valentine Queen Betty Hebert and former Valentine King Donald Martin. The newly appointed king and queen were presented gift certificates and boxes of chocolates. The program was presented by Lucy Cowles. A luncheon prepared by Lucien Marcoux was served, and following that super bingo was played.

The trip to Indian Head Resort, Lincoln, N.H., on Monday, March 12, sponsored by Doris Michael and Joyce Poole, will leave the Auburn Mall at 8 a.m. from the Farmer Market area. There are two seats available. Those interested should call Michael at 782-6962 or Poole at 784-3429. Nonmembers are welcome.
