LEWISTON – A free holistic health series will be offered from 7 to 8 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month at the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce, Business Service Center at KeyBank Plaza, 415 Lisbon St.

The series will present a different practitioner each month to educate the community on the varied forms of holistic health, such as yoga, herbal medicine, massage therapy, colon hydrotherapy, iridology and energy work.

The practitioner on March 7 will be C. Andi Locke Mears, who will discuss health from the perspective of an individual’s inner ecology. She will include information on nutrition, colon health and the roles the endocrine and nervous systems play in health.

Mears has been involved in the health and nutrition field since 1993. She became a certified transformational facilitator with the International Breath Institute and has studied with Dr. Theresa Dale in California and Farida Sharan in Boulder, Colo., and will soon attend the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico to become a certified living foods teacher.

Mears is a certified holistic health practitioner, certified colon hydrotherapist, master iridologist and nutrition consultant. She is a humane educator, a public speaker, trainer and workshop facilitator. She is a member of various associations and the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce. Mears received a BS in business administration from St. Joseph’s College in Standish and a MA in peace and humane studies from the University of Maine.
