This is in regard to the murder of Rick Lessard. It does not surprise me that his dirty laundry would be displayed on the front page of the newspaper. But one would think that a murder, and the grief and sadness the family is going through, would be more than enough. Why dig up the man’s dirty laundry? The man was just murdered.
Is his past being brought up so his accused 18-year-old killer will get a lighter sentence?
I have known Lessard most of my life. He was always been nice to me and very polite. In spite of what he has done in the past, I am sure he paid for his mistakes.
Nobody is perfect. Stop digging into his personal life and just treat the episode as a murder. His family members have suffered enough. I understand he was not an angel, but he suffered for the things he had done.
Leave his past alone.
