Elmira College, Elmira, N.Y., held its winter convocation recently, recognizing honor scholars whose continued excellence earned them recognition as a Cowles Honor Scholar or an Honor Scholar of the class of 2008 or 2009.

Jennifer Mayo ’07, a psychology and human services major, of Bowdoin, has earned recognition as a Cowles Honor Scholar. Mayo has also been named to dean’s list of academic achievement for the fall term. She is the daughter of Roland and Karen Mayo.

To achieve standing as a Cowles Honor Scholar, students must be members of the class of 2007, have attended at least two terms and hold a 3.6 cumulative grade point average.
