RUMFORD – The following are to be arraigned on April 3 in 11th District Court in Rumford:

• Nicholas Chamberlain, 28, Rumford, failure to report as a convicted sex offender (second offense), 3:40 p.m. March 2 on Oxford Avenue. He was released on $4,000 unsecured bail.

• Lorraine R. Oldham, 48, Peru, Lewiston District Court warrant charging failure to appear on charge of writing a bad check, 8:10 a.m. March 1 on Sagadahoc Avenue. She was released on $100 cash bail and will be arraigned in Lewiston District Court.

• Kerry Garland, 27, Rumford, Kennebec County warrant charging failure to appear on charge of indecent conduct, 8:15 p.m. Feb. 27. He was released on $250 cash bail and will be arraigned in a Kennebec County court.

• Carmine Ferrante, 28, Rumford, operating after suspension, 6:50 a.m. Feb. 26. He was released on $100 unsecured bail.

• John J. McLaughlin, 34, Rumford, domestic assault and obstructing the report of a crime, 9:32 p.m. Feb. 25. He was released on $300 unsecured bail.

• Alan Deroehn, 44, Rumford, disorderly conduct and obstructing government administration, 11 p.m. Feb. 24.

Accidents

• March 6, 6:30 a.m. – Richard Viitava, 28, Dixfield, was taken by Med-Care Ambulance to Rumford Hospital after losing control of his 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck ice and snow on Route 2. The truck slid sideways before hitting a snowbank and rolling over, totaling the truck. Viitava, who complained of head and back injuries, was treated and released, officer Doug Maifeld said Tuesday afternoon.

• March 5, 9:45 p.m. – A 1997 Ford pickup truck driven by Richard McLean Sr., 52, of East Andover, slid on ice and snow on Route 2 and crashed into a guardrail. Both McLean and his passenger, Jonathan McLean, 27, of East Andover, suffered minor injuries. Damage to the truck was estimated at $3,000; to the guardrail, $2,000.

• March 4, 8:03 a.m. – A 1996 Dodge Caravan driven by Aaron Gallant, 31, of Rumford, and a 2002 Ford Explorer operated by Tracy Newton, 32, of Jay, collided nearly head-on on Falls Hill. Both drivers suffered minor injuries, and both vehicles were totaled.

• March 3, 10:24 p.m. – A 2003 Chrysler Voyager minivan driven by Mark McKenna, 47, of Mexico, and a 1992 Lincoln Town Car operated by Charles A. Jobin, 52, of Mexico, collided on Lincoln Avenue. Jobin was arrested and charged with operating under the influence. He was released on $400 unsecured bail and will be arraigned on April 3. No estimate of damage or injuries were listed in the accident report.

• March 2 – A snowmobile entered Route 2 near the bowling alley and collided with the side of a 2003 GMC pickup truck driven by Stephen Pinkham, 44, of Rumford. The snowmobile driver then sped off on the sled. The truck was not damaged, and Pinkham wasn’t injured. The accident remains under investigation.

• March 2, 8:36 a.m. – While plowing snow on Essex Street, a Rumford Public Works plow truck’s wing sprung backward striking a window and injuring driver Albert Bradley, 69, of Rumford. There was no damage recorded in the accident report, nor was mention made of Bradley’s injury.
