AUBURN – The corporate and community services department at Central Maine Community College will offer introductory and advanced computer classes in PowerPoint and Publisher.

“Advanced PowerPoint” (CPT 024-01) will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14. The cost of $105 includes materials.

It will offer competency in formatting presentation text, formatting presentation design elements, using collaboration features, preparing and delivering presentations, customizing presentations, applying transitions and animations, printing presentations and using alternative delivery methods.

“Introduction to Publisher” (CPT 018-01) will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. The cost is $105 and includes materials. The course is designed to give proficiency in creating publications, formatting text, inserting graphics and performing other basic-level tasks. The class offers interactive exercises that help ensure student success.

“Advanced Publisher” (CPT 047-01) will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28. The cost of $105 includes materials. Students will learn how Publisher can help them create eye-catching newsletters and interactive Web sites.

The three classes will be taught by Stacy Dostie. Dostie is the owner of Design Matters Creative Services and the PC Wiz Computer Training in Sabattus.
