LEWISTON – Juliette H. Champagne, 81, of Wilton, passed away on Tuesday March 6, at D’Youville Pavilion where she had been a resident for the past five months.
She was born in Auburn on Dec. 21, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Dorilda (Pelletier) Pleau, and had been a resident of that community all of her life until she moved to Wilton in 1987. She attended St. Mary’s School in Lewiston.
On Feb. 3, 1951, she married Bertrand J. Champagne, who died on Dec. 3, 1994. She was employed for many years at Hillcrest Poultry in Lewiston. She enjoyed beano, playing cards, Yahtzee and her flower garden.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Champagne of Wilton; one brother, Roland Pleau of Lewiston; sisters-in-law, Yvette Pleau and Constance Pleau, both of Auburn; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special godchild, Connie Pleau; and a special friend, Jeanette Levesque.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband; and three brothers, Arthur, Leo and George Pleau.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at D’Youville Pavilion and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. Also a special thank you to Dr. George Morrissette for taking special care of my Mom all these years.
