Bob Marley will perform at Comedy Connection Night April 20.
SOUTH PARIS -Comedian Rich Ceisler will bring his combination of real-life anecdotes and true observations viewed with a good sprinkling of cynicism and wit to the stage at Four Seasons Function Center Friday, March 16.
Ceisler sees the indignities of consumers and the common man, and entertains his audiences with identifiable situations from his hilarious point of view. He performs all across America and is a favorite of Canadian and British audiences as well.
Four Seasons, located in the former Country Way restaurant, features a Comedy Connection Night every third Friday of the month, bringing in established comics from Portland, Boston and Los Angeles.
Popular Maine stand-up comic Bob Marley will perform April 20.
After graduate school at Virginia Tech, Ceisler moved to Los Angeles to find fortune and fumes, only to get involved with improv – beginning a career in comedy in the ’80s.
For the last 15 years, he has been pursuing that career and has headlined many top clubs and venues, including the Comedy Store in London.
He has appeared on numerous television shows on HBO, Comedy Central, A&E, and Showtime. He has also performed and appeared as guest speaker at Harvard University, the University of Alaska, Colgate, M.I.T., Brown University, Lafayette, U.C.L.A., Wellesley College and the University of Pennsylvania.
Described as a roughened observer who has been around the block enough times to see through society’s scams, he prides himself as a pure monologist, using no gimmicks – no tapes, parodies, sound effects or props.
He has opened for Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Whitney Houston, Jay Leno, The Four Tops and Patti LaBelle.
Tickets to Comedy Connection Night are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. They can be purchased at the Crazy 8’s Bar and Grill and at the Four Seasons. Tickets for Marley’s show are $19. For more information, call 739-2988.
