GARDINER – Jazz drummer Steve Grover will perform with Tony Gaboury on guitar and David Wells on sax at the Sounds Good! music series Friday, March 16, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, 280 Water St.

The trio, which explores different tempos, moods and harmonic textures, will play at 7:30 p.m.

In a review from Up Beat magazine in October, 2006, Steve Feeney writes: “This music is where their hearts are. … ‘The Garden Above’ is an album of real depth …[an] adventurous release by three veteran musicians who have reached a new level of individual and collective freedom.”
