LEWISTON – Richard J. Saucier, 76, of Sabattus Creek Drive, Lisbon, died Saturday morning, March 10, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Madawaska on Nov. 18, 1930, the 21st and final child of Germain and Clara Caron Saucier.
He was educated in Madawaska and Lewiston schools. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On Feb. 10, 1953, he married Florence Bossie.
He worked in the textile industry for Miller Industries and Camden Yards. He later worked for New England Waste. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, American Legion Post 135, Sabattus, and VFW Post 9459, Lisbon.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Beaudin and her husband, Leo, of North Buckfield; a son, Dana and his wife, Ruth, of Lisbon; a daughter-in-law, Heidi Saucier of Livermore Falls; seven grandchildren, Dave, Michelle, Rose, Christine, Josh, Tom and Pete; and two great-grandchildren, Kevin and Nolan.
He was predeceased by a son, Patrick D. Saucier; and 20 of his brothers and sisters.
