TURNER – Classes will begin in April for SAD 52 Adult Education in Greene, Leeds and Turner.

“Ballroom Dancing”: Participants will learn the swing, fox-trot, waltz and cha-cha during the eight-week class commencing Tuesday. April 3.

“Latin and Swing Dancing”: The eight-week class starting April 3 will teach the swing, cha-cha, mambo and meringue.

“Get Ready to Ride Your Horse”: Learn how to gain better balance, coordination and communication with a horse. There will be individual exercises and games. Four weeks starting Thursday, April 4.

“Beginner Dog Obedience”: Learn how to have a courteous dog. Correction of behavior problems will be offered. The six-week class will begin April 4.

“Art Class for Children”: Hands-on art dedicated to fostering the creative spirit. Children will be encouraged to express themselves, emphasizing creativity and experimentation through age-appropriate projects, themes and skills. Classes may include watercolor, tempera, mixed-media and pastels. Kindergarten through grade two will begin April 4 and grade three through six will start Wednesday, May 16. Each class will run for five weeks.

“Adult, Child, Infant CPR and First Aid”: The American Red Cross class will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and help injured or suddenly ill persons until more advanced emergency medical help arrives. It includes injury and illness prevention information and activities to help people make appropriate care decisions. The three-week class will start Friday, April 6.

“Sewing Machine Serger”: A one-night class will be held Tuesday, April 24, teaching overcast, mock safety, true safety stitches and rolled hem.

“Grapevine Wreath”: There will be a variety of items on hand to use in decorating a wreath. The one-night class will be held Thursday, April 26.

“Reptiles and Amphibians Workshop”: Youngsters in kindergarten through grade four can learn the different reptiles and amphibians through slide shows, videos and hands-on experience. The one-time program is scheduled for Saturday, June 2.
