PARIS – South Paris American Legion Auxiliary 73 has initiated as new members Margaret Turner, Dale Hall, Ruth Taylor, Janice Davis, all of South Paris, and Barbara Robinson’s daughter, Bethanna Garustein, of New Hampshire.

Performing the initiation ceremony were Wilma Webber, chaplain; Virginia Gammon, first vice president; Daine Rolfe, second vice president; Marilyn Ramsay, initiation officer; Marguerite Johnson, past president; and Lillian Herrick, president. Serving as sergeant-at-arms was Jean Lomonte.

There have been several other new members welcomed by the unit who may be initiated later. There are 124 members at present.

A March 14 meeting honored the Legion men and women at a special supper celebrating the Legion’s birthday. The Auxiliary and Legion sponsored two successful yard sales and a public supper and dance on Feb. 17.

Another public corned beef supper will be held on Saturday, March 17, with a dance to follow with the Country Ladds providing music at the Paris Legion Hall.
