LEWISTON – Post 22, American Legion, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

The National American Legion is celebrating its 88th birthday during March. It was founded in 1919 and Post 22 will hold special services at the meeting. Along with birthday cake, there will be a luncheon for all attending members. Donations will be accepted, and there will be a door prize. There is also expected to be a speaker.

The agenda will include membership and finance updates. Fifty- and 60-year membership certificates will be awarded and officers will be nominated. Nomination of delegates and alternates for the Maine Legion Convention in June will be made.
