AUBURN – Lewiston Rec took top honors for the boys, and Portland Blitz prevailed in the Girls Division at the St. Patrick’s Fifth-Sixth-Grade Basketball Tournament hosted recently by the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department.

Lewiston Rec compiled a 4-0 record in round robin play to earn the boys’ crown. The remainder of the standings: Oxford Hills Vikings, 3-1; Auburn-Lewiston YMCA, 2-2; Turner Hawks, 1-3; Auburn Rec, 0-4. OH defeated YMCA 37-21 for second place. Auburn Rec received the Sportsmanship Award.

The girls were split into 2 divisions, with the following results: A Division: Portland Blitz, 4-0; Oxford Hills Vikings, 3-1; South Portland Heat, 2-2; Lewiston Rec, 1-3; Winthrop Ramblers, 0-4. B Division: Auburn-Lewiston YMCA, 4-0; Oxford Wildcats, 3-1; Lewiston Rec, 2-2; Auburn Rec, 1-3; Lisbon Rec, 0-4. Portland defeated YMCA 23-20 to claim the girls’ title.

The Sportsmanship Award went to the Winthrop Ramblers.
