LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on March 12 with 35 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.

Mary Groleau accompanied the senior singers with various Irish songs in observance of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 17. Couture reported that Shirley Toncer had again spent a few days in the hospital. Monday was the last time to sign up for the monthly meal from SeniorsPlus.

Tom Stevenson will speak on the Farm Share program at the Monday, March 19, meeting. Some may be eligible for the program. Members will also hold a Chinese auction and should bring food items for it.

The Easter meal will be held on Monday, April 2; members will bring casseroles and other goodies and there will be cake and ice cream for dessert. May 21 will be the final meeting before the summer hiatus.

The 50-50 was won by Diane Getz. The meeting was adjourned and an assortment of snacks, brought in by members, was served followed by cards and games.
