Boycott Maine? What is Peter Gadiel thinking? (March 3)
Back in 1969, my history teacher, Mr. Foster, said, “history is a blueprint of lessons and examples.” Of course, I laughed at him, but over time Mr. Foster has become one of my heroes.
This Connecticut man can boycott Maine. The people can go ahead and pass the Real ID thing.
Will it change anything?
History has shown that every security item we come up with only stops one kind of person: honest ones.
Then history also shows that even the honest will cross the line when something pushes the right button. They got fired, divorced, rejected by a lover, cut off by another person of another race in the fast lane of life.
It doesn’t take much, and it’s not limited to one type of person. It can be your family, best friend, minister, cop, leader, etc. The only thing that can stop these things from happening is looking back at the human race and trying to change within ourselves.
