MEXICO – Patricia Broomhall, 62, died on Wednesday, March 14, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. She was a resident of Granite Street, in Mexico.

She was born in Rumford, on July 21, 1944. she was a daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (Beck) Ames Deanis. She was a graduate of Mexico High School.

She worked as a lab technician for NewPage Paper Mill in Rumford.

She was an active member of the LeParesseux Snowshoe Club, and was an avid bingo player. Her family was her pride and joy. She went by the saying “just one day at a time”.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Doucette and her husband, Lee, of Rumford; two sons, Philip, of New York City, and Gary, of Mexico; her mother, Eleanor Ames, of Mexico; two very special granddaughters, Katie Doucette and Breanna Broomhall; two brothers, Gerald Deanis and his wife, Helen, of Roxbury Pond, and Barry Deanis and his wife, Cyndi, of Rumford; and one sister, Phyllis Nicols and her husband, James, of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews; and a special companion for many years, Stephen Gallant.

She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Deanis; and sister, Sally Cloutier and husband, Ernest Cloutier.
