Alyssa Burns of Dixfield was recently named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the academic year. Students named to the dean’s list earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale. Burns, a member of the class of 2008, is majoring in international business and logistics. She is a graduate of Dirigo High School, Dixfield.
