The Lisbon boys’ basketball teams had their first game of the season on Dec. 12 against St. Mary’s. The teams worked hard before and during the game. The entire basketball team dressed up to boost team spirit during school. Looking at the faces of the team players, one could tell they were working hard and determined to play their best. As hard as the junior varsity team worked, sadly they lost.

Lisbon’s varsity team worked hard during the whole game as well with no change in pace. With two seconds left on the clock, fans looked up at the scoreboard and saw Lisbon’s boys basketball team walking away without winning. The people at the game viewed the team walking away with their “game face” on and knew they tried their best. Win or loose, the game on Dec. 12, 2006 was a very exciting game to be in attendance.
