Hmm yes that topic. Cliques, who ever isn’t in one cringes and who is, smirks. For those who aren’t quite sure exactly what a clique is its a group of people with shared interests or other features in common, who always spend time together and will not readily let others join them for what ever reason.

Most schools have cliques, the first that always comes to mind is that group of all the “popular” girls who act like they own the school but are too good to be friends with anyone else. Not all cliques are like this, not all schools have cliques at all, but a lot do, and some think its great, others hate it. If you are in a clique you probably think its great that you have close/great friends blah blah blah. But, those who aren’t or who aren’t in your clique probably hate it. People in cliques are usually very rude to the outsiders who aren’t in their circle, and that is hurtful to people, and can drop self esteem. Some people will go to great lengths to be popular, or to be part of a clique, so cut them some slack and the most unsuspected people are usually the ones who turn out to be the most interesting and best of friends, I know this from experience.

I personally think cliques are very stupid because you should be able to be friends with a wide variety of different people, and who ever is like killing themselves trying to be popular it’s not worth it. It’s more fun to have friends who like you for being yourself. You’ll learn one way or the other! Good luck on that.
