The week before February vacation, I asked some students in my classes what they were going to do over vacation. This is what they said:

Randi Brannon • “I’m going to play basketball and I am going to spend lots of time hanging out with my friends doing some things like Birthday parties, snowboarding and sledding, and I might also sit at my computer and eat.”

Allicyn Fitzgerald • “Every winter vacation, my family and I go to Sugarloaf to go skiing for a few days, but this year we are not going. This year, I am going to cut my hair! I am also going to do a lot of shopping. I also want to hang out with my friends while sledding or just chill out in my hot tub. I will tell you that every single day I am sleeping in!”

Tara Metzger • “I’m going sleep in too! But I also want to go snowboarding and sledding with my friends.”

As for me, my cousins Lexi, Sara, Krissy, and my brother, Cam, have a tradition that we have done for the past four years. Our cousins come to our house for a two night sleep over! We play video games, watch movies, and stay up late. The best part of the tradition is sledding at Albert’s Hill in Lisbon! We bring all different types of sleds and tubes and we have so much fun! Wiping out is the best part especially when you don’t expect it. Our first run of the day all five of us got on two sleds and went flying down the hill. We went so far that as soon as we hit the fresh snow that hasn’t been touched yet, we wiped out and all of us went flying! Krissy even lost a boot!

I also played a lot of basketball with the Lisbon girls traveling team. We had a couple of tournaments and we did pretty well. I also hung out with my friends and went shopping.

It seemed liked everyone had fun over February vacation this year. We can’t wait for April vacation!
