WILTON – The Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser for mentoring programs in the Wilton/Jay community will be held on Saturday, April 28, at the Meadow Lanes Bowling Alley.
It is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. Bowl For Kids’ Sake is an event in which sponsors and bowlers raise funds needed to match local children with a Big Brother or Big Sister in area towns.
The event will feature prizes and awards available to bowling team participants, including a grand prize drawing. For every $100 a bowlers raises, they will have the opportunity to enter the grand prize drawing and become eligible to win a 42-inch plasma TV.
Big Brothers Big Sisters encourages anyone interested in helping to make a difference in the life of a child, to organize, join or sponsor a bowling team. Teams are composed of four people. Each team member raises advance contributions from family, friends, co-workers and employers to help provide Big Brother Big Sister mentoring matches in the communities.
Many sponsors from area businesses provide support for Bowl For Kids’ Sake in levels from $100 to $3,000 and up, in cash or in-kind contributions.
