NORWAY – Carmen J. Hadley, 61, of West Paris, died Monday, March 19, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Rumford on May 27, 1945, the daughter of Maurice L. and Audrey M. Chase Hadley. She graduated from West Paris High School and Bliss College.
She had been employed at the Advertiser-Democrat, Trap Corner Store and Oxford Marking. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and wit, as well as being a good friend.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Maurice and Gloria Hadley, of West Paris; brother, Roger Hadley, and his companion, Kay Daniels, of West Paris; brother, Lon Dresser, of Bryant Pond; a sister, Lynn Andrews, and her husband, Gary; three nephews, Andy Hadley, of West Paris, Ryan Hadley, of Ellsworth, and Chandler Dresser; a niece, Dr. Deborah Hadley and her husband, Greg Bowman, of Waltham, Mass.; three close friends, Sandra Poland, Charlot Wormell and Betty I. Jones; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother, her dear friend, Eldith Lang; and grandparents, Reynold (Pete) and Marjorie Chase, Alton Hadley and Dora Hadley Hazelton, and Hiram Hazelton.
