Auburn – Jeannette C. Michaud, 88, formerly of 253 Meadowview, Lewiston, passed away Wednesday, March 21, with her family by her side at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 18, 1919, the daughter of Fernand and Emilia Cote Chasse. She was educated in local schools and was married on Jan. 21, 1939, to Adelard I. Michaud, who predeceased her on July 4, 1994.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Continental Mill until 1962, then as a nurses’ aide at the former Marcotte Nursing Home. She and her husband were both employed at the Marcotte Home, and were very dedicated to their patients.

She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Baita, and husband, George “Mike,” of Lewiston, and Rachel Thibault, and husband, Roger, of Turner; a son, Ronald Michaud, and wife, Anita, of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters; three sisters, Rejane Asselin, of Livermore, Merilla Hamilton, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Carmen Ricker, of Old Orchard Beach.

She was also predeceased by a sister, Therese Henson; and a brother, Alfred Chasse.
