RUMFORD – Poet, balladeer and former Portsmouth, N.H., Poet Laureate John Perrault will return to the Rumford Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28.

Drawing from a repertoire that ranges from “Bonnie Barbara Allen” to the Maine woods song, “Canada-I-O,” to his own “Ballad of Louis Wagner” and “Sonny’s Back,” Perrault will sketch a picture of life present and past in the North Country in song. He will also read poems from his two collections, “The Ballad of Louis Wagner and other New England Stories in Verse,” and “Here Comes the Old Man Now.”
