LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine will offer “Adult Introduction to Swimming” classes from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting March 27 and running for three weeks. Participants must be YWCA members and at least age 16 to participate. Cost of the class is $75.
The YWCA of Central Maine offers several membership packages for adults.
Open swim membership includes unlimited access to all YWCA open swims. The fee for an adult open swim membership is $250 annually, or $21 a month, deducted directly from a checking or savings account, minimum of a year. A three-month open swim membership is available for $90.
Water fitness membership includes unlimited access to all YWCA water fitness classes. The fee for an adult water fitness membership is $350 annually, or $30 a month, deducted from a checking or savings account, minimum of a year contract. A three-month water fitness membership is also available for $115.
Y-wide membership includes unlimited access to all YWCA water fitness classes and all YWCA open swims. The price for an adult Y-wide membership is $455 annually, or $38 a month, deducted from a checking or savings account, minimum of a year. A three-month Y-wide membership is available for $125.
The YWCA also offers a basic adult membership, which allows members to participate in YWCA programs on a pay-as-you-go basis. For more information on memberships and YWCA programs or to register for the “Adult Introduction to Swimming,” call or stop by the YWCA, 130 East Ave., 795-4050.
