LEWISTON – Funeral services were held Saturday morning for former Lewiston Fire Chief Roland G. Dumais at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul Church, following prayers at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home.
Officiating was the Rev. Robert Lariviere, who also recited prayers of committal at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Pallbearers, part of the Lewiston Fire Department’s Honor Guard, were Pvt. Mike Albert, Lt. Paul Fournier, Lt. John Daniels, Lt. Tim Traynor, Pvt. Don Lagrange and Pvt. William Hunt.
At the cemetery, an honor guard from the U.S. Army played taps, and folded and presented a flag to the widow. Following the service, family and friends gathered at Marco’s Restaurant to continue celebrating Chief Dumais’ life.
