LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education has announced that registrations are being accepted for the “Power Conference for Women: Exploring Careers in the Trades and Technology” to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Lewiston High School-Regional Technical Center, 156 East Ave.
During the conference participants will learn about career fields that they may not have thought about before; challenge themselves to try new things; talk with successful working women; operate heavy equipment and program a robot; find out about training and educational programs; connect with helpful area resources; and have fun.
The conference is open to women age 18 and older who are considering a career change or who need more information and confidence to make informed decisions about their future.
The cost is $10, which includes a packet of materials, prizes and lunch. Since spaces are limited, early registration is suggested.
Participants should wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and a jacket since some activities will be outside.
To register, contact Lewiston Adult Education at www.lewistonadulted.org (search Power Conference) or call 795-4141. The conference is sponsored by Lewiston Adult Education and the Coalition for Women in Trades and Technology. For more information, call Kathleen Harrison at 755-5325.
