Lewiston – Donald W. Savage, 75, of Lewiston, died March 22, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Burlington, Vt., April 11, 1931, the son of William L. and Theresa E. (Flood) Savage. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He married Lotus A. McKenna on July 8, 1958, and together they raised their family. He worked as a mason for over 30 years, working mainly for Ducharme Brothers and Maine Masonary. He took a lot of pride in the many building projects he worked on throughout the state of Maine.

He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He also loved the outdoors; especially camping, fishing and hunting at Moosehead Lake, as well as the Boston Red Sox and NASCAR Racing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lotus, of Lewiston; his daughters, Darlene Tutwiler and her partner, Larry Scott, of Georgia, Debra Eaton and her husband, Curtis, of Lewiston, and Dianna Hall and her husband, Kenneth, of Auburn; two brothers, Basil and Billy; six grandchildren, Krissy and Katie Eaton, of Lewiston, Cameron, Jordan, and Spencer Hall, of Auburn, Tiffany Groves and her two children, Makayla and Jake, of Georgia; brother-in-law, Dewey Gilliam; three nieces and one nephew.

He was predeceased by his twin sons, Robert and Roger Savage; his parents; and his two sisters, Betty Gilliam and Shirley Queen.
