Two of New England’s best comedians come to The Fireside Inn & Suites (formerly the Auburn Inn) on Saturday, March 31. The double-headliner show features Tony Moschetto and Dave Rattigan, two New England comedians with national reputations.
The off-beat, unique Moschetto has been featured on Comedy Central and the Playboy Channel and performed not just in Boston, New York and Los Angeles but also in London and in Beijing, China. He’s considered a “comic’s comic” because of his original perspective, and many Boston comedians consider him the best comic in Boston. He’s performed at the Boston and New Orleans comedy festivals, and is also an award-winning filmmaker. His shorts have screened at the AngelCiti Film Festival (Los Angeles) and the Boston Comedy Festival.
Dave Rattigan’s quick, dry wit makes him a popular choice at clubs, theater shows, comedy clubs, fund raisers and corporate events all over the northeast United States. His Dave Rattigan: Thinks He’s Funny CD has received airplay on XM Satellite Radio and English-speaking stations around the globe. He hosts his own “best of” showcase each year at the Boston Comedy Festival. Among the many theaters he’s performed at: the Palace in Manchester, N.H.; the South Shore Music Circus, Cohasett, Mass.; the Palace Theater, Manchester, NH; the Cabaret at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, Conn.; the Ioka in Exeter, N.H.; and Jimmy Tingle’s Off-Broadway Theater in Somerville, Mass. He’s performed at fundraising shows to benefit numerous groups, including the American Cancer Society, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and sports teams, churches, schools, civic associations, scholarship funds, and other causes. He’s performed with several national acts, including Steven Wright, Bob Marley, Juston McKinney, Adam Ferrara, Jonathan Katz, ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, Nick DiPaolo, Jimmy Tingle, Gary Gulman, and the Beach Boys.
Dinner & show packages cost $24.95, and tickets for the show only are $10 with a reservation, $14 without. Showtime is 8 p.m.
