Rumford – Anne M. Lavorgna, age 89, formerly of Mexico Avenue, Mexico, and most recently a resident at Victorian Villa Rehab and Living Center in Canton, died March 28, with her family at her side at the Rumford Community Hospital.

She was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Rumford, the daughter of Stanley and Patricia (Mortus) Nailles. She was educated in Mexico schools, graduating from Mexico High School in 1935. For many years, she would meet monthly with classmates for luncheons.

She worked many years at Larry’s Variety Store on Congress Street, and later at Food Trend. She liked interacting with people. She loved being outdoors, gardening, swimming, fishing and just sitting in her beautiful yard. She was a very generous, loving, beautiful lady.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Pineau of Rumford; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Helen and Rene Quirion, of Cumberland, Marjorie and Dwight Evans, of East Falmouth, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Nailles of Meriden, Conn., and Patricia Ensey of Duluth, Minn.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Warren in 1996; her brother, John Nailles; and son-in-law, Richard J. Pineau in 1995.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Dr. Tom Deluca, Dr. Ledesma, the nurses and staff at both the Rumford Community Hospital and the Victorian Villa.
