LEWISTON – The Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department will host its 8th annual Easter egg hunt from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
The event, to be held rain or shine, is free and open to children in kindergarten through grade five.
The indoor Easter egg hunt, which covers the majority of the Armory gym floor, will continue throughout the entire event. Children are asked to bring baskets.
DJ Dave Dionne will play popular songs, and activities will include decorating Easter cookies, a “bounce,” face painting and games.
Children are welcome to dress in a simple Easter costume and/or bonnet. They must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians. Food will be available for purchase.
Partners in this year’s event include the Lewiston Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department, Volunteers of America Day Reporting Center, New Beginnings, Lewiston High School Track Booster Concession, Bates College students, Lewiston High School Key Club, LHS Law Enforcement Cadets, Lewiston Middle School students and Air Force Junior ROTC.
